Amanda is in a “CRISIS” situation as she needs daily medication and without it suffers from very impaired judgment. Her family is distraught and gravely concerned for her safety and well being.

The woman contacted him through craigslist, I have been told her name is Karen. She drove a blue Ford Edge SUV and picked MY dog up from Buckland Hills mall near Barnes and Noble. He was wearing a blue collar and had a rainbow colored leash. This woman also had a large dog, a french mastiff, and was looking for a companion for him as his sister had passed away. I am making a plea to this woman to please return my dog. She is in her 40's/early 50's with blondish hair. This is a rare breed so he should be easy to recognise. He means the world to me just as her dog probably means to her. I repeat this dog was given away illegally, I am the legal owner. I do not wish to involve the authorities but getting my dog back is of utmost importance as he is part of my family. I have included pictures of Max taken this spring. The Husky found in Meriden was not mine, nor is the one on River Rd. in Essex/Old Saybrook. He belongs to someone that lives on that road.

The days get harder, not easier, as the constant wondering what happened to him is emotionally draining. I have some nasty neighbors that yank my fliers down whenever I post them, this leads me to believe they might have had something to do with his disappearance. As stated in another post, 2 of them threatened to shoot Coda in the past. A third is known to shoot dogs and not say anything at all. This is all in my immediate area of Higganum.

My search will continue...........and thank you again for your help!!

He was even just seen this past Saturday morning, Jul 27, on Grove St in Torrington. But he’s very scared and runs away when you call his name or chase him. He’s been spotted often in the areas of Grove, Calhoun and Elm Streets in Torrington. His name is Spencer and he’s a black lab mix with a bushy tail and a leash attached! He will run away if you try to approach/chase him as he is SO scared. If you see him, talk softly, do not chase him, try to enclose him in a fenced yard, he LOVES hot dogs and he likes women better then men!
