I'm a musician/songwriter and into producing my own demos to get them cut by pro artists. One song needs a female vocalist, and 2 others call for a male singer.

I'm home-recording a couple of demos... modern-rock sound (daughtry, lady gaga, taylor swift kinda), and I need real singers to do the vocals on them. Would you be interested?

I can't afford to pay $$ really, that's why I can't take a professional vocalist. I could pay you a little something ($ 20 to $ 30) if you are really good and have a exceptional voice, but for the most part your payment would be a CD with the demo of the songs that you would sing, which will build your resume as a singer, and you could use as promotion.

You will only invest maybe 1 hour or 2 of your time. Two songs are already recorded (except for the vocals) and one other will be ready in about 2 weeks, except again for the vocal tracks, of course.

We are an "A" rated party/rock cover band in CT. We perform and are on a 6-8 week rotation at the three main "A" clubs in CT (as well as many others throughout CT and New England). We are a serious band when it comes to performing, but we don't take ourselves too seriously because, well, we're a COVER band in CT. Our current male lead singer has decided to retire from the band and move on with his life. There are no hard feelings on either end and we sincerely wish him the best...

So we are seeking a MALE lead singer / frontman to fill his shoes. You MUST:

1) Be able to sing and sing WELL.
2) Be able to harmonize.
3) Possess great stage presence.
4) Maintain a professional attitude.
5) Be able to entertain (jump around, be the focus of attention, show a LOT of energy)
6) Be willing to travel occasionally.
7) Be willing to perform 6-8 shows per month.
8) Leave your ego at the door.
9) Have a job other than lead singer of our band.
10) Have reliable transportation (ie.Own a working car and have a valid driver's license)
11) Have a good sense of humor (we all dish it out and we all can take it).
12) Have FUN!

Additionally, but not mandatory (as if that wasn't enough):

1) The ability to play an instrument (guitar and/or keyboards) would be ideal.
2) A kazoo, a mouth harp and a tambourine do NOT count as instruments! ;-)
3) Age range ideally in 20's - 30's.

This is a serious position in one of the top cover bands in CT. It doesn't get much better than this! So we will be VERY selective in who we choose. If
you are chosen for an audition, please come to impress. There will be no second chances.

whats up my name is Mike, 24 years old currently living in bristol. Ive been in metal bands for about 9 years and im looking for a new band. Most recently i was in a band called Buried By Fate. I was with them less than a year, things just didnt click, none the less in that time we accomplished alot, most notably opening for Korn in our 1st show. Im looking for something heavy, aggressive, dark yet trippy. Im mainly a screamer, just comes more natural to me although i love to sing melodically (just havent mastered that yet, working on it). I like to consider myself a �music sponge�, I�m open to anything.
I�m a strong lyricist, but would need someone who can collaborate on vocal melodies with me, as I�m still new at writing. My guitar playing abilities are minor at best, but I have a knack for structuring songs and working with ideas. I also would love to learn piano/keyboard someday, but I�d have to invest in one first. :)

I have a wide range of influences including the mars volta, john frusciante, amon tobin, aphex twin, can, king crimson, neu, fugazi, immortal technique, syd barrett, hendrix, venetian snares, beatles, pink floyd, miles davis, protest the hero... Most important though, is that I want our band to have its own style. If our playing abilities click than the rest will evolve through practice. Eventually I want to play shows. we're all about 17, so in that age area would be best, but if you're good we won't turn you down.
we'd prefer not to have anyone over 20-21 though, because that'd be awkward for you
we don't have a PA so you'll need to have one, or prove to us that you'll stay and we'll all pitch in to get one.

Your not going to garner the crowds cover bands will but your opportunitys to play out of state, on the radio and open for national acts is much greater. We are a five piece funky jazz group that is looking to lay down a few (perhaps 5?) songs to play on our website. We're not interested in recording a professional CD, just a few tunes so that folks can get a good idea what we sound like. We tried recording ourselves, but the result wasn't what we'd hoped.
