Vintage shaving horse works well. This was hand made in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont in the summer of 1975. The bench is rock maple. The legs are white ash. The head is oak, and the dowels are maple. The main bench is made from a maple log that was split in half. Everything is pinned together. It weighs about 70 pounds. It has been stored in an attic for almost 50 years, so there is no rot or discoloration. It was used to make axe and tool handles. The whole thing is as solid as a rock. Can be used for its original purpose, or would make great ambience in your office or shop!
