I purchased this painting 40 years ago from a local Antique Shop. At the time, the story about T. Bailey was that he was a Smith professor who sold his paintings at bars to pay for his drinks.
The current story about T. Bailey is that it was a name used by a gentleman who purchased paintings from several artists and signed the name T. Bailey and peddled the paintings in and around Massachusetts from maybe 1910 to 1930. I'm sure there are other stories too.
Anyway I've had this painting hanging in my house for those 40 years, my kids don't like it so it is time to move it on.
Outside frame dimensions are about 12 x 16 inches. Seems to be in good condition - a painting expert I am not.
