Commins (his father gave that name to a diesel engine) published the first edition under his Carnot Press imprint in 1976. A solid, accessible history of the internal combustion engine from 1673 (Huygen's gunpowder engine concept) to 1900. Book is in like new-condition, numerous plates, photos, diagrams. Gray cloth, silver lettering with several ink markings from the prior owner still Very Good copy, excellent history of the development of the internal combustion engine from 1673-1900.

A handsome, nearly new looking book, structurally sound and tightly bound. This book has been in our family library for a long time and has not been used very much. This is a CASH Sale only, No Checks. We can meet at a local "safe place" so you can review and handle the book and then decide if you would like it.
