REDUCED and price is FIRM at $100
This is a partially completed project boat. The previous owner did a ton of work- removed the cabin top to replace the stringers, added flotation and put in a new floor, mast base and centerboard trunk. The top is currently still off but fits on the hull like a shoe box top for transport. It will need to be reattached with stainless screws or rivets and sealant/ adhesive like 5200. The hull is in good shape, it has been kept covered and dry, but it needs paint.
This Potter spent its early years in California, then to Texas, and most recently sailed in CT. At 14’ it doesn’t need to be registered unless used with a motor. It does have a motor mount.
Comes with original title. Sails (main and jib) are used but clean and serviceable, stored indoors. I was planning to convert to a lateen (Sunfish) rig and purchased the aluminum sleeve, cap and mounting base for that. It is currently not on a trailer and a trailer is not included. It will take 2 people to move it to your trailer.
Serious inquiries only, please. These “pocket cruisers” have a huge following. They are known to be very stable and seaworthy boats, easy to sail and easily trailered. See trailersailor.com, yahoo Potter’s site and Facebook forum. There is lots of info and support for these popular Potters.
A great project that is worthy of finishing, just a bit over my head right now with too many boats!
