The frame is made of SyrocoWood, a molded composite material made from wood fiber and plastic, rather than solid wood.
These decorative items, such as this mirror, were commonly manufactured between the 1930s and 1960s.
Syroco items are highly recognizable in Hollywood Regency and mid-century design styles.
