Disabled person seeks potential Adopter for 3 awesome ferrets.

Retired/Disabled old guy who's been doing Ferret adoption/rescue for many years and is a heart patient is looking for the perfect person to potentially care for them either temporarily if I have a health crisis or adopt permanently if I pass. I have three of the smartest, sweetest ferrets (going on 4-years old this November.) Two ( Nick a Sable & Chloe a Chocolate)were left at a Pet store (the owners out of desperation apparently smuggled them in with a note saying they were unable to keep them) when the 2 ferrets were only about 5-6 months old. While I took them on, I also took a 3rd (Gina, a black eyed white) who a kind caretaker (for a disabled person) realized the ferret he had virtually never gotten out of it's cage, and didn't even have a name, and slowly talked him into giving her up. My residence is 100% ferret proofed (a must) so while they do have a whole room, they often get to romp & play in the entire house (two floors) Ferrets are lively, often high energy animals (250 bpm hearts!) who NEED room to run, shed some energy as well as play & battle. Like people? They each have distinctive personalities, which come out especially as they bond w/people. Picture a cat (in a cage) Full time or for most of the day. It will make the cat unhealthy and depressed and greatly shorten it's life-period. Ferrets are way smarter and much more energetic, (especially the first 4-5 yrs then mellow out some) but are also delicate and easily injured. It amazes me that I often hear people say, 'Oh.. I used to have a ferret(s) or I used to know someone that did.' Well, sadly for ferrets, they became a 'fad' about 50 years ago-(70's to the 90's) and virtually everything written about them-was wrong! And mostly still is. These three ferrets are very healthy, eat THREE different kinds of high quality food and no 'tap water' only spring water. I'd supply all food and water. I used to take them to my Vet every month or so for general checkups, to get their claws trimmed and ears cleaned, but now I do so 3-4 times a year. Ferrets get sick (from us) VERY easily. The problem is that if YOU have a bad cold or flu, and aren't extra careful about disinfecting your hands when you give them fresh food and water (daily)and while handling them and they get sick? They'll stop eating and drinking. Then, you have to know how to care for them until they're well. I'm expert at it after many ferrets. One of the 3 (Gina) developed cataracts, is 80% blind, also deaf and 1-1/2 years ago lost virtually all of her beautiful white fur to Adrenal disease, but she does GREAT, and you'd never know it & she is not on meds. She'd be lost without the other two and they'd all be lost without each other. So looking for someone to (at some point) take them temporarily if necessary or keep them permanently, also if necessary. The right person must satisfy me they're residence is safe>and that they're the right person. NOT looking for someone who's a partier, period. I am not looking to find a 'full time' adopter-yet, but am looking for someone in my immediate area to (after propper vetting of the person) do an occasional 2-3 days to see how they and ferrets get along, so I can make sure (in advance) I find the absolute right home for them-in the event something happens to me. Responsible only need reply.
