condition: like new
Sansui BA-2000 and Sansui CA-2000 preamp and amplifier respectively. Both systems were inspected and serviced by a reputable repair facility. The amplifier made 159 watts/channel at a very low THD. The preamp offers a plethora of options for contouring the sound white permitting two turntables, two tape decks and two auxilary inputs. Both units are beautiful and incredibly well built. I've included some pictures but haven't scanned the receipts or test reports yet.

Here's some specifications from a popular website:

The Sansui CA-2000 is a two-channel preamplifier and processor with a frequency response of 10 Hz to 80 kHz, a total harmonic distortion of 0.03%, and a signal to noise ratio of 75 dB (MM), 90 dB (DIN), or 90 dB (line). It has adjustable loading, three selectable center points for bass, mid, and treble control, and variable low and high filters. The CA-2000 also has the following specs:
Input sensitivity: 2 mV (MM), 150 mV (DIN), or 150 mV (line)
Output: 150 mV (line), 30 mV (DIN), 1 V (Pre out), or 12 V (Pre out Max)
Dimensions: 460 x 160 x 310 mm

Some say the CA-2000 has excellent build quality, a clean signal path, and an impressive sound. It was one of the first preamps to use low distortion transistor circuitry, and it has a unique volume control circuit that reduces noise to very low levels.

The Sansui BA-2000 is a two-channel power amplifier that was produced from 1976–1979. It has 110 watts per channel RMS into 8 ohms, and is designed to complement the CA-2000 preamplifier. The BA-2000 has a toroidal power transformer, dual transistor differential amplifier, and two transistor current mirror circuit. It has a smooth, holographic sound with a palpable soundstage and faithful reproductions.

According to the manual, the BA should be run at max output and the CA used to control volume levels. The BA should only be reduced if distortion is experienced.
