Greetings to all my friends in decoys! We are moving forward with our fourth decoy swap meet/show AND carving competition in Westbrook Ct. May 15, rain or shine, under the pavilion at the Elks Club. Public opening is from 10:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. with a $5.00 charitable donation and lots of parking! Dealer to dealer trading is 9:00 A.M. Set up time 7:30 A.M. Carving competition featuring both working AND decorative decoys from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. A charity auction will be at 1:00 P.M. of winning competition birds and others. There is a five-dollar bid calling fee per bird regardless of any reserve being met or not.
Rental is fifty dollars/space, bring your own table(s)and chairs. Same mandatory protocols are in place for the virus. You all know the drill by now. Jim, Larry, and I are confident we will do this safely God willing. Food is available at the club and it is excellent. I’m sure we are going to have tremendous response to this show so reserve your space sooner than later.
Then on June 5th, as promised, another East Patchogue, Long Island, outside swap meet at the V F W! Same time schedule and fees as above. N.Y. virus protocols are different and will be adhered to. Rain or shine so bring a pop-up tent if you have one or two.
