Amerex Class D model B570 Fire Extinguishers are designed for Battery and Metal fires. Battery fires include EV (electric / battery vehicles), Lithium Ion battery fires, and metal fires. Many cars and trucks are being built with aluminum now and aluminum will burn. These types of fires are extremely HOT and very hard to put out - extinguish and that's what this fire extinguisher is designed for.
The Amerex "soft flow" extension applicator is particularly suited for fighting class D fires. It allows the operator to stand away from the extreme heat and toxic fumes caused by burning material. The extension applicator has a quick-connect and can be quickly detached to provide a straight stream of chemical where greater range is required.
