Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Locate and review video captured by cameras on our equipment (Samsara, Bendix, etc.) for accidents or other risk events.

• Ensure appropriate video clips are saved with corresponding accident records in the claims administration system.

• Update Risk systems and notify personnel as needed based on video contents.

• Assist the Risk group in identifying Werner drivers or equipment involved in third-party-reported accidents using company mapping technology.

• Support the claims intake group, including:

  • Answering phones and taking new loss reports.

  • Responding to department emails.

• Demonstrate high proficiency in triaging multiple lines of claims, including:

  • Catastrophic (CAT) losses

  • Rollovers

  • Bodily injury accidents

  • Workers’ compensation injuries

  • Cargo OS&D and transload claims

• Communicate directly with drivers, customers, third-party claimants, independent adjusters, and law enforcement.

• Make independent decisions and adjust communication approach based on the situation.

• Coordinate activities across departments to achieve claim resolution, especially in high-stress or high-dollar cases.

• Work across multiple operating systems simultaneously to complete tasks.

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
