This one has a long history, but she's back up and running at full steam!!!
Serial #4000's, V2, TX4 Board, Recto and I think Phat Mod (she's thick).
Had two previous owners who ran it at 100v... she was a Japanese import.
Mario at Upscale Music retapped the transformer to 120v, replaced the fuse, cleaned out the volume pot, replaced the pesky 8 15uf tantaulum caps with new electrolytic caps, and did the LDR calibration to bring 30 years of mild drift back to spec. He swears there's tons of life left in the LDR's because although they all drifted, they didn't drift far. He threw in some NOS Trace Elliott 12ax7's for a solid consistent tube, so I left them in there.
She sounds amazing and everything is in full working order. I'd love to keep her, but gonna trade her instead... I have a Mark V:35 to satisfy my Mark itch, and this beast is old (and lovely), I just want to try something else.
Really only want to trade for a Mesa Boogie Triple Crown or a Mark V:90.
