Stefan Lukacs an American Violin maker, born 1908 in Klokocov, Czechoslovakia and immigrated to Perth Amboy, New Jersey in 1948. He worked in his profession over 70 years. While working in Czechoslovakia and the USA, he developed his violins in his home workshop, approximately 30 over his lifetime. He used maplewood and redwood for his handmade violins.
