favorite this post Your recording can sound as good as anything on the radio if........ (All of CT & beyond) hide this posting unhide

you get in touch with me! My name is George Spatta & I am a 2 time Grammy nominated, multi platinum winning recording engineer. I live in CT and am available to work on your project, big or small. I can do overdubs, re-amp guitars, tune vocals, replace drum sounds, & mix in my Pro Tools based studio. I'm also available to work in your, or any commercial studio for tracking, editing & mixing.

I have 30 years of professional experience with many styles of music. I have engineered projects for producers such as Mutt Lange, Eddie Kramer, Phil Ramone, Bob Power, and countless others. I've worked with a variety of artists from Britney Spears, to A Tribe Called Quest, to SEAL. I even did a comedy album with Larry The Cable Guy! I have been working on major label national releases since 1990. I am the real deal. I will help you achieve the sound you are looking for without compromise or "blowing smoke". If you have recorded at another studio, or by yourself, & are not happy with the results, you'd be amazed at what I can do with your existing tracks.

When I started advertising here on Craiglist several years ago, there weren't many other engineer / producers doing so. Now on any given day there are several people offering the services that I offer. Many of these folks offer their services at what seem to be "too good to be true" rates. I would like to give every perspective recording artist some advice; ask for samples of their work before you hire them. Listen to their most recent project to see what their recordings sound like. Ask them what kind of training / education they have had. Have they assisted for any successful engineers early in their careers to learn their craft?

The truth is, just because someone has some gear in a room, doesn't mean they have the experience or expertise, or ears to realize your artistic vision. It takes many years of working with other people, and listening & watching what they do to help develop the skills needed to be able to know what mic to use on a certain instrument, or how to fix a problem. Experience is what is going to make something great come out of the speakers! I've had countless clients over the years come to me disappointed with their last recording endeavor. They, not knowing any better, went with someone who had cheap rates, but lacked that essential experience. It is my goal, or mission statement if you will, to have every client walk away from a project with me & say "that was the best recording experience I've had", and more importantly, I want them to feel that way a month later when they listen to their recording again.

If you are looking to record, please take a moment to click on some of the links below to hear what I can do. Some of the artists you'll recognize, and some you won't. Every engineer does things a little differently, so you as the artist needs to find someone who "hears things the way you do"

Please contact me and let's talk about how I can help you skip over making something that sounds like a demo, & instead make your recording sound like a record. I also can provide "private lessons" in your studio on how to maximize your gear or your personal workflow.
