The room is part of a 3 bed, 2 bath apartment right off of Farmington Ave on the edge of West End. Rent is $800 a month plus utilities (Wifi, electricity and oil in the winter) which so far have averaged max $100 a month, but may go up a little bit once we start getting into the colder months. The apartment is in a really great location — it is about a 15-20 minute walk to Blue Back Square and Elizabeth Park, or about a 1-2 minute drive to either. It is about a 5 minute drive to the I-84 ramp and a short drive down the street to Trout Brook to get you onto 44 if you need to head west. It's in a very safe neighborhood with a bus stop nearby as well and people are always out and about jogging, walking their dogs, etc. and there are restaurants and other amenities nearby (pharmacy, laundromat, etc.) as well.
You would be living with two young female professionals in their mid-twenties and early thirties that both work full time. One roommate has a senior Beagle living with us who is an absolute sweetheart, but unfortunately the landlord will not allow any other pets. The ad wouldn't let me select it, but there is private parking in the back and you would be guaranteed a spot. There is ample street parking around as well.
The room would come unfurnished, however, the beautiful bookshelf is part of the room, so you will get to enjoy that as well as the wonderful natural light this room gets. ◡̈ There is also a closet that offers ample storage.
This is a great spot and location for traveling nurses/airline attendants (we are only about a 25 minute drive to BDL and super short drive to UConn Health and 10 minute drive to CCMC) or students attending university in the Hartford area (St. Joseph's/UHart/UConn Hartford).
