I’ve used this monitor for a little more than a year (late April, 2024), and it’s still in excellent condition. No blemishes appear on the screen, and I haven’t noticed any damaged pixels. Text and images are extremely sharp/clear. The only damage I can see on the monitor is a nick on the base plate (see pic).
The monitor consists of 3 pieces: the display, the base, and the connecting column. The column clicks into place over the VESA port on the back of the monitor, and then the column screws into the base. [You can remove the stand and attach the monitor to a 100x100 VESA desk/wall mount if you prefer.]
The display can rotate, allowing it to function in both landscape and portrait orientations and any diagonal angle in between. It can also tilt upward, and the height is adjustable by sliding the display up and down the column. Despite it being very easy to move the display (and I’m kind of a lightweight), it does stay perfectly in place after moving it to the desired position. Buttons on the bottom right of the display operate the on-screen display.
Although Alogic describes the screen as anti-glare, it suffers from the usual characteristics of glossy screens (aside from Apple’s specially designed ones): try to avoid placing sources of light directly behind you, and increase the screen’s brightness if you do.
All ports are positioned on the back of the monitor, with two of them lying directly in front of the column at a distance of about 3.5”. This means that you may have to bend some cables more than you might like if you use the DisplayPort connection or both HDMI connections.
All of the original cables are included:
- HDMI-to-HDMI (1.5 m) [unused]
- DisplayPort-to-DisplayPort (1.5 m) [unused]
- USB-A to USB-B (1.5 m) [unused]
- USB-C to USB-C (1 m)
- Type B power cable (the typical 3-pronged US plug)
- Type I power cable (used in Australia/NZ, China, and Argentina) [unused]
You can access the complete set of technical specifications on Alogic’s website (https://alogic.co/products/clarity-27-uhd-4k-monitor) by scrolling 3/4 of the way down the page and click on the expandable menu labeled “Specifications.”

- corner protectors (11) that I attached to the display to prevent the cover from possibly being damaged by the sharp corners. (They do not leave residue after removal.)
- reversible matte/glossy security shield which I modified to fit the viewing area of the screen and block the glare. I held it in place with black painter’s tape (I had no residue issues replacing it every 2 months). You don’t need other tape all around the shield to keep it properly positioned, but the more tape applied, the closer the ‘shield’ stays to the screen—which is imperative to maintain the device’s sharp clarity. There is a small nick on one of the ‘tabs’ and faint silhouettes of the magnets’ previous locations, but these all fall within the display’s bezel region, rendering them invisible.
- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D9LSH9TC?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1 (I removed all the magnets because they lifted the shield above the screen enough to cause everything to look blurry/fuzzy.)
